This is a "studio-enhanced live" album- the first of this variety project for jean mann. Taken from her many live house concert, acoustic listening rooms, waters edge and campsite recordings (and one-takes home recordings), she then took the raw recordings to Froglips studio in Seattle Washington (Bill Corral, engineer) simply planning to "clean up" the tracks for release. The first diversion from that plan was, "How about a little harmony vocal added here?" Which organically led to inviting back some of her favorite musicians from previous projects (and a few new characters to the musical play!) to add their gorgeous additions: strings, banjo, percussion, guitar layers etc. with a resulting gorgeous new album. jean hasn't missed a beat in her songwriting and expression of her world in prose. Enjoy. Pass it on responsibly/ethically.
